Are there any upfront costs?
No. We provide our collection services on a commission basis. We only get paid when we collect for you.
How important is the age of the debt?
The age of the debt is one of the most important factors in determining whether or not a debt will be paid. The older the debt, the harder it is to collect. However, this does not mean that older debts will stay unpaid. Our procedures are highly effective at collecting all debts.
What type of reporting do you offer?
PlusFour will provide you with a user account so you can view the status of your accounts. This gives our clients the freedom to see our work in real time. We have the capability of creating custom reports with as much information as needed and provided as frequently as required.
What are the key factors in successfully recovering debts?
There are several factors that will influence recovery rates. The age of the debt is arguably the most important factor. Other important factors include: industry, balance, documentation, demographics, and type of debt.
Does your agency report to the credit bureaus?
PlusFour reports weekly to all three major credit bureaus, TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax.
What if my debtor disputes the debt or simply refuses to pay?
If a consumer disputes a debt, we are legally obligated to provide the debtor with all documentation pertaining to their debt. On occasion, we may have to request additional documentation from our clients in order to verify the debt. If a consumer refuses to pay, the debt will simply remain on their credit report until the statute of limitations expires. If we are able to locate a viable asset we will pursue a legal course of action in order to recover the balance in full.
Do you service states you are not licensed in?
Yes. PlusFour works closely with agencies in states where we are not licensed. PlusFour has handpicked these agencies to insure their standards and practices are in line with PlusFour’s. This allows us to service your accounts wherever the consumer may be located.
